Supervises all day-to-day operational needs within the Laundry Facility while tending laundering machines to clean, store, inventory, issue, and distributes articles such as bed linens, bath towels, robes, and uniforms.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times.
Follow The Resort s etiquette guidelines. - Load articles into washer, Start machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
- Lift clean, wet laundry from washer and place them into the dryers for measured time cycles.
- Fold dried linens and towels before placing them on labeled shelves.
- Examine all laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly inventories to identify items in need of replacement.
- Keep laundry area in a clean orderly condition.
- Fulfill orders and distribute linen to outlining properties.
- Train and supervise laundry attendants.
- Assist in creating weekly schedule for Laundry Facility.
Review and adjust staffing daily to ensure optimum staffing levels. - Monitor cleaning chemicals so that appropriate inventory levels are kept on hand
- Maintaining proper ratio of chemicals dispensed within loads
- Track linen orders from outlining properties and charge appropriately on a weekly basis
- Help with creating schedule, running reports, creating flow charts, graphs, etc.
Qualification:
- High school education, or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. - Ability to add, to subtract, to multiply, and to divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Microsoft Office knowledge preferred.
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
