Job Summary

The General Manager / Director of Lodging Operations will oversee lodging operations at the Grand Summit Hotel, condominium rental properties, spa operations, facilities operations, and manage Home Owners Association.
You will be a member of the Mount Snow Senior Leadership Team, East Coast SLT and will work closely with the mountain culinary, conference service operations and work on enterprise wide hospitality programs.

In this role you will supervise the following departments:
Front Office Operations, Homeowner Services, Housekeeping & Laundry, Lodging Facilities, and Spa and Recreations Services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as Senior Property Manager of the Grand Summit HOA
  • Responsible for all financial results of the hospitality operations along with financial oversight of the HOA.
  • Responsible for guest service, brand standards/quality control, safety/workers compensation and GX/NPS scores for the hospitality division.
  • Responsible for oversight and deliverables of Association Management Contracts and Rental Management Contracts.
    as well as future properties that may come under our management.
  • Be responsible for the successful integration of future property projects.
  • Maintain executive level relationships with key HOA presidents/boards.
    Develop and manage relationships with homeowners and Board of Directors of the associations.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting to Vail Resorts and to Home Owner Associations.
    Ensuring that association agreements, responsibilities, and obligations are being met and adhered to.
  • Serve on boards in local community based on needs and requirements.
  • Responsible for the growth of the hospitality business in the Mount Snow area for property management/rental management services.
  • Coordinate efforts between other supporting departments such as Food & Beverage and Conference Services.
  • Maintain high ethical and moral standards, serving as an example to the team.
  • Work on special projects as requested by the resort and hospitality leadership.
  • Work at all levels in the organization to identify innovative ideas and initiatives that will build value for the company.
  • Lead daily on-site operations.
  • Develop and implement new programs to ensure the highest quality of service to all homeowners, guests, and employees.
  • Enthusiastically grow room inventory throughout the area.
  • Engage with the resort leadership, act as an enterprise partner to deliver on the company strategy.
  • Participate in the Vail Resorts leadership programs.
  • Prepare the market for future growth and lead through change.
  • Act as a Producer of Talent:
    attract, develop, retain, and reward employees.
    Empower direct reports and hold them accountable for development and business results.
  • Bring the Vail Resorts leadership development, safety, and service culture to life at Mount Snow Hospitality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • College Degree, preferred degree in Hospitality Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • 5
    years of leadership experience in hospitality operations with experience in property management/vacation rentals a plus.
  • Multifaceted experience in operational leadership such as rooms, spa, food and beverage or similar.
  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Maintains a professional, collaborative and friendly demeanor at all times!
