The Innkeeper/GM will report to out-of-state private owners, run the day-to-day operations of the Inn, and supervise a team of in-house staff and local contractors.
This position is responsible for maintaining positive community relations with nearby businesses, community leadership, and residents as well as providing detailed and regular communication with ownership.
This position should be an experienced Innkeeper/Rooms Manager and professional concierge to lead the Inn's front desk, concierge services, and hospitality accommodations.
The ideal candidate possesses a guest-centered philosophy, a passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and should enjoy functioning as part of an effective management team.
Prior experience as an Innkeeper is required.
Local experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Nature lovers and outdoor sports lovers should absolutely apply! _ Responsibilities --Guest Responsibilities-- The Innkeeper/GM is responsible for providing a warm, welcoming, and delightful guest experience from check-in to check-out, while also monitoring and managing the physical property.
Serve as main caretaker and host of the property to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
Enthusiasm, Service-Oriented, Welcoming, and pleasant at all times.
Responsible for 24-hour guest caretaking and property management.
Coordinate and properly communicate expectations, needs, and pending items to support staff.
Become well-versed with the property's location, history, and local activities to optimize the guest experience.
Maintain a friendly and accommodating attitude toward guests.
Provide concierge services such as assisting guests with dinner and entertainment suggestions and making reservations for guests, as required.
(Referrals should be made to any local business partners and highlight preferred programs, partnerships, and/or events.
) Ensure the property and rooms are at top presentation, prior to guest arrival.
Coordinate execution of special requests from guests and tend to guests' specified needs, throughout their stay, in-person, and over the phone.
Manage essential documentation for guests' stay, inclusive of proper registration, welcome details, special accommodations or requests, etc.
Ensure a smooth and pleasant check-in- and check-out experience.
Take notes of any hiccups or missteps throughout guest stays, and take a proactive approach toward improvement, where possible.
Act as a resource for guests who inquire about the property, their personal stay, future trips in the area, event requests, etc.
Provide tours to guests and/or vendors upon request, review details of the Inn, and outline events or venue rental opportunities.
--Leadership Responsibilities-- Responsible for upholding and instilling company values and leading by example.
Responsible for 24-hour staff coordination, clear communication, and Inn management.

Willingness to step up and step in when support staff and contractors are unable or absent.
Ensure that guests never feel a gap in services or care.
Act as liaison to all in-house staff and contractors to ensure urgent requests are taken care of promptly and effectively.
Ensure pristine cleanliness of property, including kitchens, guest rooms, and public spaces.
Assist with interviews, and train new staff.
Ensure that all new staff, vendors, and contractors are fully vetted and screened and meet company standards along with securing owner approvals.
Lead by example.
Represent the Sugar Maple Inn Brand to the highest standard and train all team members to do the same.
--BOH/Administrative Responsibilities-- Assist with marketing properties and regularly enter guest details and notes into CRM database.
Coordinate and oversee all hotel operations, ensuring quality service is provided within the established business plan and budget.
Regularly inspect facilities to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations are met.
Analyze financial information; plan and facilitate purchases.
Work with marketing team to regularly contribute to the development and maintenance of marketing and promotional plans to promote the Inn and services.
Responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to Inn leadership.
Clearly communicate updates, identify needs, and proactively provide suggestions and solutions.
Provide leadership with business forecasting, trends, opportunities, and upcoming community activities and local insights that will assist with planning and growth.
Maintain calendar of events and property management system, preparing accurate forecasts for sales, marketing and food and beverage.
Coordinate weekly meetings with the ownership to review calendar, events, issues, wins, and day-to-day happenings.
Attend and participate in the local chamber, tourism council, area-related events, etc.
